Lots of Littles
Above: Sycamore Tussock Moth Caterpillar (according to Seek). We saw several in the wet grass beneath the tall sycamores at Jackson Field in South Chagrin Reservation. I rather like the dew bubbles. Not the best picture of the caterpillar, I admit.
And in the extra, a collage, from upper left going clockwise:
- Ghost Pipe
- Scarlet Pimpernel (who knew?)
- Hairy Wood Mint
- Chocolate Tube Slime (mmm)
- Wild Leek
Thanks to Miranda1008 and JDO for hosting.
All but the mint were found in the same square foot on the Overlook Loop Trail. Had a wonderful long hike with LW on another perfectly perfect weather day. Two in a row. Now back to heat and humidity.
