Aftermath

Of what is said to be the most extensive wildfire ever experienced in Scotland. Despite numerous warnings of an extreme fire risk there have been  new outbreaks  almost daily over the past 3 weeks. - Due to human thoughtlessness thousands of acres of moorland and forest have been destroyed, wildlife killed in the most horrific manner and human life endangered.  Recent deluges have brought some relief and already the moor is showing the first signs of recovery.
