Ferry Crossing
This was taken during a short crossing of a narrow part of Lake Victoria. Even though you could hardly call this a 'port', it was a bustling centre for trade and transport, with all manor of things crossing in small barges; from wood to motorbikes. There were no formal gangways or docking areas, so people can be seen wading out to the boats to unload the goods. I was also told by my guide that local fisherman went out early in the morning on those waters to catch Nile Perch, which can weigh up a massive 300Kg!
