Potsdam and Sans Souci

A morning call with Aoife and another one with Kat - then getting ready to get out of town to Potsdam.

We got to Wilmersdorf to board either the S-Bahn or the train.

As it was more exciting we went to the train track and waited there until a completely packed train arrived - with people standing

No thank you!!!

We walked back to the S-bahn and boarded the next one - lost a bit of time but it was a relaxed journey.

Potsdam is so charming - we were quite surprised.

Went for a coffee at The Buena Vida Coffee Roasters then wandered through the Dutch Quarter.
It was pretty and the sun was shining.

We then walked towards the Park where all the Palaces are and walked in this huge piece of gorgeous land, gardens and old trees.

We were invited on the visitor caddy as the driver was empty and noon else was there.

He drove us all the way to the New Palace and gave us loads of information.

He wanted to drive us all way back but we managed to convince him that we wanted to walk a bit too.

So we wandered though this huge estate and really enjoyed the nature plus the beautiful buildings albeit we were to late to get into any of them.

When we came back into town we had an ice cream - at the first - possibly not best place.

We went to a wine bar and sat in the sun - enjoying a lovely wine and some Südtiroler Speck with Schüttelbrot.

It was so nice there, that we decided to stay there and have more food and more wine.

We were a bit tipsy when we finished and walked to the cute tram to get to the station and home.

I am not mentioning we had a Cheese Cake from Tinto …..

We pretty much instantly fell to bed - almost 20k steps under the belt.

Check the extras too.
