Happy Belated Birthday Little Car!

How could I have missed its Birthday!!! Because I didn't work yesterday so no reminder of the date!!

So, my little car was 3 yesterday!
3 years ago to the day (yesterday!) I collected my brand spanking new car.

This was my divorce present to myself. It means alot to me as it was my way of regaining control. I bought it from new, from a Main dealer and custom made to my requirements. Something I would never have been able to do while I was married. I was only ever allowed second hand cars or cars bought from auctions. Now I'm not saying there is anything wrong with cars bought from auctions but they were never my own choice, always a bit tatty, with high mileage and well....used!!

This was the only time I would ever be able to purchase a car outright from new and I felt it was definitely the right thing to do with my divorce settlement but made sure I left enough to buy a little house and I know how much he would have HATED me buying a car from new!!!

My car is my office, my dining room, my sitting room and my healer!!! I've done over 70 000 miles in this little machine! It's had 2 sets of tyres, 2 sets of brakes, 2 windscreens a new turbo and just one careful lady owner!!!!!! It's been sicked in, sung in, cried in and laughed in. It's had coffee thrown over it, orange juice squirted in the steering wheel nobs Mr W and a cd stuck in the CD player! But its MINE! All mine!!

Mr W kindly cleans it for me almost weekly then it goes to the car wash for matey to give it its monthly clean inside and out!!! Trouble with little kiddies (work) they just don't care!!
