Big stepping day

Elbows is off and away for a few days so I encouraged a long walk with the dogs to show him some new paths I’d discovered before. Nice.

Then I walked into town to meet Anna and Chris for lunch, celebrating A’s upcoming birthday. A lovely couple of hours. After some shopping, I wandered back using the New River Path, now fully opened. For some segments, there wasn’t a soul in sight. Great to walk along the gently flowing river and I somehow managed to miss the rain. Weirdly, I walked back in sunshine to find the house surrounded by deep and wide puddles. Glad I missed that downpour.
