Do you kayak?
I do not.
My friends that I'm currently staying with in Boston are significantly more outdoorsy than myself. I am a history phd student, outdoors can be confusing and full of the unknown. When they suggested kayaking on the Charles River I was incredibly excited but I knew that I'd have to share a boat in order to not fail terribly.
It was a beautiful day, the river was perfect and when we rounded a corner and spotted the city skyline, I was speechless. Boston is a city that I've seen on numerous occasions. I love it, I want to live here, but I'd never seen it from this angle. Now I only love it more.
How did this grow from the tiny settlement created by those plucky 17th century puritans? I wonder what they would think of it now....
I'll do the research I came here for tomorrow, honest!
