Peacock tiger flowers (Tigridia pavonia)

Last year on 24th March one of Mummy hazelh's old friend visited and brought us a pack of bulbs. I planted them in the back garden and they came to nothing. This year I popped them in a pot at the front and in the past couple of days they have produced these amazing blooms.

Today has felt like a lovely, ordinary Monday. This morning I rode my exercise bike, walked to the supermarket for the first of our twice weekly grocery runs, then wandered over to the gym for a swim. This afternoon I wrote a letter and did some Mummy hazelh admin. Then Mr hazelh and I went out for a walk. We called into a bathroom shop on our way to the botanic garden, looking for inspiration for the upgrade of our en suite bathroom. When we returned home, Mr hazelh went for a run and I made our supper.

The best 'Monday as normal' treat of all was to watch Only connect and University challenge on the sofa together with a mug of hot chocolate each.

Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike; swim (60 lengths); walking (20,514 steps).
