brightened what was a damp and low cloud morning on the drove road. After a torrential shower, lasting only thirty minutes, it continued as the morning. Surely the peat will be damped down although the ground is not sodden. On the wee lochan a pair of Redthroated divers were washing and grooming. Until one dried itself I had not realised how much white they had underneath.
