Better late than never.....

When I walked down to the bakery this morning these ducks were seeing the town. Quite a few people were trying to get them back to the waterfront park as it is dangerous for a duck in town. When they started waddling down the main road, people would shoo them to the sidewalk and.. I hope they made it safely back to the waterfront... 

Mom this morning was doing well to start.. She even ate most of her breakfast. A little later she asked for a steak for lunch but with the cost and all... we settled for a hamburger.. At the local stand when I was young, my dad and I would fill up for less than $10...  Two burgers and a small fries - no drink - $28  the times have sure changed and or I'm showing my age..She ate 3/4 of the burger and a few fries.. Afterwards though she was "all over the map" on insisting people were still alive, showing real fear again and.. It can take a week for the medication to really take affect but I am grateful for a mostly good day with mom despite having the caregiver try and calm her down when I left..

Sunday is also the day I do grocery shopping for the week..I needed a few thing that as quite a bit cheaper at Walmart so I headed there.. At the register it all rang up to $128. I mention this because they don't accept "tap" pay at their registers and ever since I had my wallet stolen, I no long physically carry the card. Since I had no other way to pay - I told them somebody will have to put everything back and I walked out. This happened to me before at Winco... Typical grocery shopping but there they accept no credit cards at all.. Sigh.. At least the local grocer accept "tap" pay... Going to sleep well tonight..
