Who Jesus Is Matters!
My weather apps were sending me mixed messages this morning as we gathered at FBC to worship and praise God and minister to one another. There was going to be rain or no rain, maybe sooner, probably later----in the end there was none, at least where I was. The July Choir Sabbatical and Ensemble Extravaganza continued with the Chambers family as they blessed us with a wonderfully upbeat arrangement of "His Eye Is On The Sparrow" to begin our service which was followed by the greeting time, after which Pastor Wes gave the welcome. The Chambers Family then blessed us with one more special song, before Daniel led the congregation in a few more songs than Pastor Wes took us back into the second chapter of Acts where Peter reminded those he was speaking to then and those of us who are reading it now that Jesus was a real person, that people knew Him personally and saw the miracles He did, saw Him tried, crucified on the cross and laid in a tomb from which he rose three days later. He was seen after His resurrection by over 500 people. Peter also reminded the people that David had prophesied about Jesus. What it all comes down to, is that Jesus is Who He said He was and all who call on Him for salvation will be saved! Pastor Wes laid it all out and you can find out what he said in the Live-stream. At the end of the service we prayed for the leaders and our pre-teens who are going to camp this week......You may notice that there are no wall shots of the scriptures in my collage this week. There were so many that I had to create a separate collage which is in the extras if you want to see it.
