TRACKSIDE COOKS
It's WeatherTech International Challenge weekend at Road America and Sunday dawned bright and beautifully with unexpected low humidity...which was a refreshing change from Saturday which was very hot and muggy. So I grabbed the Z9 and headed for the campground to see if any trackside cooks were up and making breakfast.

This was the first pair I ran into...they had just awakened and were brewing some coffee before tackling breakfast. I asked if he was making "egg coffee" and he allowed that this was not the prairies of the midwest in the 1880s. He preferred to perk his coffee. Well, I prefer egg coffee.

For those of you who do not know what that is, it's simply filling the pot with water, adding some coffee, cracking an egg or two into the pot and then putting it on the fire. No need for a coffee filter...as the water heats the egg will congeal and all the coffee grounds will be contained within the congealed egg. So when you pour the coffee into your mug...there's no grounds to filter out. It works a treat and tastes great.

EXTRA: I also found this creative breakfast maker. He was preparing breakfast burritos....corn tortilla, scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and some peppers and a bit of hot sauce. Just roll it up and enjoy as you listen to the delightful tones of the Pre-war classic racers on the track at that time..
