Rock the Mote
Maidstone’s Rock Festival in Mote Park, where the legends of heavy rock strutted their stuff on two stages, this one here was the Jeff Beck Memorial Stage.
You know what it’s like, driving rhythms and percussion, anthemic guitar riffs and screaming vocals. I like a bit of heavy rock myself, not too much and definitely no head banging.
By way of a contrast we saw the Quebecois band Le Vent Du Nord at the Gulbenkian Theatre in Canterbury this evening. Couldn’t understand a word of the lyrics but that didn’t matter, their performance was infectious, foot tappingly good and their band’s enjoyment total. Great harmonies, impressive multi instrumentalist made for an uplifting evening’s entertainment.
Of course, we did other stuff in between that related to the houses and move. You don’t want to know about that!
