Surprise!

87 and I still managed to pull off a surprise for the birthday girl.
She couldn’t quite understand why Crieff Hydro was the destination however went with it.
Stopped off in Crieff to ‘ buy the paper’ got back in the car, rolled down her window, and just like that, my daughter, just off the Glasgow bus, popped her head in the window ‘hello’

So thinking that was the surprise, we continued to find ‘Ferntower cafe’ , found Ferntower cottage, so me pretending to be frustrated, parked outside and went to ask the occupants if they knew where this cafe was.

Knocked the door and out came my nephew , wife and two kids
SURPRISE!

So we had a lovely afternoon of snacky lunch, cake and ice cream then the train with her two youngest great grandchildren, two grandchildren and obviously the best daughter ;). Made her wear the birthday hat all day, best ruse for lots of comments so she was fair spoiled and chuffed.
Reluctantly we left then took her back to Kelso for delicious tapas at the new tapas bar Dicksons just off the square.
