Just as
one flower finishes blooming, another starts up :)
I noticed this rudbeckia had buds earlier in the week, and they are just starting to open up :)
Church this morning, where I led the older group (only 2 today) at kids church. Afterwards, I'm just clearing up - in the shared space - when two people very rudely without saying anything to me, marched in and started moving the furniture around in a 'this should not have been left like this' way (and moving my stuff too!).
How rude and inconsiderate - and thank goodness people don't always do that....
Anyway, I just got home in time for my Dad, who arrived earlier than expected as he decided to get a taxi from Reading. Luckily I remembered that Twyford is closer and took him back to that station. He got the Elizabeth line all the way to Liverpool Street - so lucky no issues on the journey. Both times I've used the Elizabeth line there have been problems...
We had a fabulous (but noisy) lunch at the usual restaurant. He told me my stepmum is having hip surgery tomorrow, and I quickly wrote a card for her when we got back. I really hope all goes ok as she's 81 now, and quite frail at the moment.
Early night now as last night got little sleep - and I've already dozed on the sofa tonight.... Last night I'd just gone to sleep, when there was suddenly a great load of bloody fireworks outside :( Poor Charlie, it took her a while to settle down again.
Back to the baking office tomorrow...not looking forward to it, but has to be done.
