Garden visitor
We were in the kitchen this morning when Tim said "Oh dear". I wondered what he'd done! Then I looked up and realised he'd actually said "Oh, deer!"
It was stood in the middle of the garden and stayed for several minutes, wandering around and munching on mostly rosebay willowherb. Luckily it kept away from the veggies!
In the afternoon we played in Valley Gardens in Harrogate. I knew it was likely to rain, but we were under cover with a good sized, north-facing bandstand. There were plenty of people around to start with, including a wedding party. Part way through the first half the heavens opened! A hardy bunch of spectators/supporters moved under the trees and remained until the interval. There were fewer around in the second half when we also had to compete with thunder and lightning. So we finished a little earlier and then stayed in the bandstand for a cake-nic as it was the last gig of the summer for us. It was still raining when we packed the drums away, but not as heavily as earlier!
