Woke to a pea soup this morning! One of my sisters picked me up so I could accompany her to see Mum…it also meant I could hand deliver yesterdays card for her anniversary. Once home again I took myself for a lunchtime walk along the prom…it was very busy on both the prom and the beach despite the pea soup! The tide was high and the fog must have rolled out as it turned as this afternoon was somewhat clearer though the sun never quite made it through.

This afternoon has been spent on the front drive…I’ve dug out all the crap between the house wall and the paving stones and filled the gap with crushed shells. I’m hoping it will keep the weeds down somewhat and deter the slugs from getting into the kitchen…only time will tell. A thorough sweep up, cleaned all the pots, weeded the roadside and I’ve now got kerb appeal again!
