Now, as I see it......

Felbrigg

We decided to have a walk around the walled garden at Felbrigg Hall this morning before the rain came over.  I took my 'big' camera so that I could get a few shots around the garden and as soon as I switched it on it told me the battery was flat!  I had a spare one in the car but by that time we had walked a fair way from it so I just took a few pictures on my phone.

We normally visit the garden out of the summer season so it was lovely to see it today absolutely packed with flowers of all different colours and types.  The wildlife was loving it; bees, hoverflies, ladybirds and all manner of other insects were all around us and all over the blooms.  I couldn't count how many insects there were on this particular cardoon flower and the flowers across the whole garden were just the same.

We avoided the rain while we were out but drove through torrential rain on the way home, arriving back to completely dry ground.  The weather caught up with us an hour or so later though.
