Limited editions

I treated myself to the two new limited edition red shades from Stylecraft, together with some yarn pegs.  Am sure they will come in handy for a book blanket square before too long.

Ian and I started the day with a Parkrun - well I walked it and Ian walked and jogged.  I don’t really like all the steep bits and usually leave Ian to do the course whilst I go to the gym but there was a horse event on in buildings near te gym so I thought it best to avoid that.

After that I undid the good work as we stopped off at a cafe on the way back and I had a nice latte and a slice of cake.

Leo was feeling a bit under the weather with a cold but dosed himself up so he could head out for a game of Patel with his mates in the afternoon, followed by a night on the town with his mates and Bobbie to celebrate his 18th.  I wondered what state he might arrive home in as he doesn’t usually have (or seem to like) a drink but think he only had enough to get merry. He may have my tastebuds which seem to make all alcohol taste dreadful!

That was just as well as he had to help his mate and Bobbie home.  Sounds like Bobbie was in a very sorry state!  She had headed in early with the girls so had a few hours of drinking in before Leo got there.  She got refused entry to one of the clubs they wanted to try out as she could hardly stand up.  Leo had to contact her mum so she could meet Bobbie off the bus in Bradninch to make sure she got home ok.  Then he and his mate carried on to Cully and he had to walk his mate from the bus to home as he was stumbling all over the place too!  By the time he wandered in about 2:30 he seemed fully sober - think the combo of the rain and stress of sorting everyone else out had a sobering effect!

I had been in bed but dozing fitfully as I must have had him on my mind whilst he was out. Think I was on mum alert in case anything needed sorting so I got up for a quick chat so he could fill me in on the night’s shenanigans..

It was just as well Bobbie’s mum’s radar was working too and she was still awake in the early hours otherwise I think I’d have been sorting Bobbie out for the night.

After he gave me the lowdown on the shenanigans we both headed to bed and I slept well for the rest of the night.
