Book group in a summer garden
Worked from home as usual on Friday and managed to have a break with a lunchtime yoga class.
I'd finished the book group book just in time in bed this morning. Our meeting was in the host's garden this time as it was such a lovely evening. The wasps and biting insects died down as it got dark. We talked about 2 books, Burial Plot and The King's Witches. I enjoyed both but probably preferred the Burial Plot.
We had time to chat - another member moved to a new home in Norfolk this week and has returned to her home territory. There was much talk of the growing group of grandchildren - there is another one expected in October. I don't think I'm destined to be a grandmother!
Lovely relaxed evening with conversation flowing between women who've known eachother for over 20 years.
