Bran owl outside my office window

A beautiful, unexpected visitor appeared outside my office window  : a barn owl  , regal and unruffled, perched calmly beside the air conditioner. It brought with the quiet grace of dusk, heart-shaped face glowing like a A fragment of the forest   carried on wings .
