Soldanella

With thunderstorms forecast we took a short taxi transfer down the valley to speed things up. That worked and we were up and over the big pass with atmospheric mist coming and going and just a few rumbles and raindrops (see extra). Refugio Pastore where we spent the night was delightful. But the highlight for me was seeing a big patch of soldanella - alpine snowbells by one of the patches of snowmelt we passed high up.
