Lysichiton americanus

Western Skunk Cabbage is common in wetlands and bogs in the Pacific Northwest, Alaska, and Western Canada.

It's called Skunk Cabbage because of its pungent odor. This odor attracts pollinator flies and beetles.

In times of famine, it was eaten by native peoples.
