Megan’s birthday. And she decided to celebrate with the girls/ladies in her life.
So, myself, other Nan, Mum, Aunt, Mollie, cousin, great aunt and best friend all went for a super duper brunch at Od Street.
I’m going to start by saying we all had a great time, and the food was amazing! Megan got some lovely presents and despite the differences in ages, it all went brilliantly.
That’s not to say that the lead up, for me was not stressful.
I try to analyse whether ive always been anxious, but B coupled me with me balanced it out, or whether I’ve become anxious. Probably a bit of both, I certainly remember being ill on every exam day and Mum giving me ‘tough love’ and pills to get me into school!
Just the thought of the journey has had me uptight all week. Op Brock on the motorway, first weekend of school holidays and the Stockbury roundabout! And, a family ‘do’ just makes me sad that B’s not here to share, which I know is daft because on this occasion he wouldn’t have been anyway!
I did miss the turning on that horrible roundabout and ended up going back up Detling hill, but it was not busy, so I managed a u turn after a couple of miles and hoped there were no cameras! I wasn’t the only one to miss that turn either!
Once home I spent a quiet day, walked Dog and finished a tv series. Housework and chores tomorrow.
