Agricultural show

We went to the local agricultural show and entered a few events. The girls had some chickens in the poultry categories and crafts. And the grown ups entered a tractor that Papa had been renovating for several years. After he died in January we set about finishing off the last few bits and with the help of a very kind neighbour (who is very handy with tractors), we got it back in the road! It’s a 1959 Fordson Dexta. It lined up alongside some later massey fergusons and earlier wee grey fergies and picked up best in show! The girls are joined on the tractor with their cousins, Harris and Evan.

The girls also picked up first prize for our cockerel Dòmhnall and our pair of hens, Bagel and Merida. Elsa and Anna came second in the pullets. And they won various things in the craft hall too.
