Tam's final Wainwright!

The weather forecast was dire!

Thunder and lighting...torrential rain...hail.

But NO! We just had occasional light rain and sunshine...it was warm and muggy though.

There are 214 Wainwrights ( mountains in the Lake District  )

For her final one, Tam chose Steel Knotts near Howtown, Ullswater.

We met at Glenridding...we were early so there was time for Tam & Jim + friends to have a swim in the lake.

Then we all got on the steamer to Howtown ( 45 mins ).

Steel Knotts has amazing 360 degree views from the top. Fabulous!!!

Champagne was drunk!

A splendid 3 hour walk...

We got the boat back to Glenridding then we all had a really nice pub meal to celebrate!

( Ros and I completed our Wainwrights several years ago...)
