Mixed Day in Tobermory

A day on Mull. Morning started out ok, and actually managed to see a Golden Eagle in the hills not far from Tobermory. We could hardly believe our luck. That's as far as it went. We'd booked a boat trip in the afternoon to try to see Sea Eagles but it began to rain not long after we set off, and mist started to close in. We saw nothing exciting, not even a harbour porpoise. Learnt a lot from the interesting talk on board, but had to settle for the morning's Golden Eagle for the day's highlight. Back to Tobermory, pretty much soaked, and caught the last ferry back to Oban.
