Not Silly Saturday, but

It just struck me as odd to find fungi growing  about 5 feet above ground on a  power / telegraph pole, so I wonder if it is a sign of rot  as it would be on a  tree. While the pole appears to have been pressure treated, years ago they were coated in a thick protective coating of creosote type preparation and lasted for ages.
A mostly warm and sunny day after a sprinkle of rain last night, but cloud has built in late this afternoon, so it looks as though the very wet weather forecasted is on the way.
