The Lark Ascending

In April we bought two bare root roses: The Lark Ascending,a shrub rose and Claire Austin, a climber.We planted both on the shadier side of our garden and kept them watered which has paid off as both are doing well. Pictured here is The Lark Ascending.
In other news: it remained extremely warm and dry here in West Essex, although rain is promised early hours of the morning and for a large part of tomorrow.  Thank goodness as a hosepipe ban is no doubt just around the corner for us!
