CAR ON FIRE?

It's a Chamber of Commerce Day at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI.  Low humidity, plenty of sunshine and tolerable winds.  Perfect day for the WeatherTech International Challenge w/Brian Redman.

Here's a vintage Mustang from Group 9 (Modern GT & American Stockcars). belching a bit of fire as it heads into Turn 5...a hard left, 90° turn and then a big uphill acceleration to the Corvette Bridge and another 90° left.

It's not really on fire...upon deceleration into this corner from a long, fast straightaway, unburned fuel passes through the exhaust system and the heat of the exhaust pipes causes it to ignite.  Upon acceleration, that fire goes away.

My weatherman sez the humidity and temperatures will increase overnight with the possibility of strong thunderstorms in the morning to be followed by a partly sunny afternoon and then thunderstorms reappearing in the early evening.  We'll see how it all plays out...you can't trust my weatherman,].  He lies all the time.  In that respect he's a blood brother to my President.
