I remember being woken by a loud crash in the night but didn't investigate and must have fallen asleep again. Glad to say we haven't been murdered in our beds, rather the large roller blind in our bedroom had got away from its moorings but with no damage done. Mr HB applied his favourite remedy of epoxy resin and the blind is back up again in situ - hope it will stay that way.

Following my eye test last week I had an appointment this afternoon to choose a pair of reading glasses as my short sight has deteriorated somewhat. Oh my goodness, how I hate this ordeal, even with lovely Heidi telling me that every pair I tried on was so me etc, etc. Anyway I did choose a pair and suffice it to say we won't be eating for several days to come, and
