Life through my eyes

Illumination!

The XS helmet is a great fit, and the lights are really good. They can also be set to flash, and as I brake the rear red lights increase in brightness. It's still got all its labels on as I was advised to wear it around the house a bit and make sure there weren't any pressure points. None so far.

When I bought all of my original kit to do my training I hadn't ridden a bike and have subsequently found it hasn't "worn in" it still feels stiff and uncomfortable. For the summer I did get a mesh jacket and trousers and have found the brand (Oxford) significantly more comfortable than my current Weise gear. They had an Oxford winter jacket and trousers there with a nice reduction to make way for the new updated version. They are so much more comfortable than the Weise which is worse on the Kawasaki Z650 than my Honda CB125F due to the different seating positions. I was uncomfortable for most of my training ride so I thought it was worth making the change.

Dave the Book is going to see if there is any way I can donate my Weise gear to the Blood Bike charity, but if not if anyone knows of a motorbike charity that supports people who can't afford to buy proper gear I'd happily donate it.
