Eye to Eye

The Big Bernese Peaks …

… the Eiger, the Monch and the Jungfrau, a view from our walk on the wild side to the summit of the Cornettes des Bises (extra) what a panorama. At 2,432 metres above sea level, it is the highest summit  between Pas de Morgins to Lake Geneva. Rounded up it took us nearly 6 hours to walk almost 18km and to climb and descend nearly 1,500m. It’s the longest hike I’ve done in 2 years so I can hardly move right now! The several female bouquetin we encountered were very relaxed (extra).

The BEST NEWS is that we took a diversion to check the Eagles’ nest and the Eaglet is there. I am so excited. I didn’t have my big lens or tripod with me so the extra photo of him or her is a bit woozy! I shall probably return on Sunday when we have the next fine day.

Thanks so much for sharing all this today, Julie-Ann.

Have a great weekend everyone, I going to crawl into bed now! Thanks to everyone who left gifts for Tracey paddling on the lake yesterday!
