Room with a View

A somewhat fuggy day today - thought we were getting more rain, but no doubt it will come when least expected!

Didn't feel very lively this morning so spent the time indoors getting on with photographs. Good job I enjoy doing it! After lunch I'd been invited round to friends on Pulpit Hill, largely to give advice on plants for the garden, but spent most of the time talking about London and seeing pictures of the beginning of their Iceland cruise as they sailed down the Thames and under Tower Bridge. 

I've taken pictures of the view from their conservatory before, but this time it was improved by the 'Clansman' sailing by - I was just in time to catch her!

Just in case I'm accused of taking too many ferry pictures, my extra today is of Petunia 'Black Velvet', surely the nearest thing to a black flower ever - unless you know different, as Esther Rantzen used to say!
