So it’s a ‘no’ then

This was the proposed site that the Council chose as a permanent 10-12 pitch piece of land to be given to travellers.

It’s really really close to us and I walk past it often. Up until … yesterday perhaps … there were 2 concrete bollards blocking the entrance. All of a sudden, more blocks have arrived. On Sunday, at our neighbours gathering, we learned that this site has been withdrawn from the travellers because Spurs objected. Their training ground is around the corner and they own a couple of houses diagonally opposite this land. Maybe the Spurs muscle raised the ‘conservation area’ argument. Or maybe they just flexed a muscle.

So apparently, it’s not going ahead.

Today, I gave the dogs a little walk, past the bollards, in the hope that I wasn’t aggravating Billie’s limp, and then met up with 2 of the Pigeons for a lovely lunch. Because I don’t go over that way, towards our old house, that often, I did lots of little errands as add ons.

I can’t actually remember what I did for the rest of the day. It’s all a bit of a blur.
