The 21st Century Navvy
Whereas in days of yore it would have taken a team of twenty or more workmen plus a steam-roller weeks to lay a tarmacadam road surface, now a single machine (plus a motor roller) can do the job in a day, and the four or five workmen, all of whom apparently have to shave their heads for some obscure reason, watch or lean.
