Elephant garlic

I love this garlic. A while back I took a picture of it growing in a row like soldiers. It stands over 5feet tall. I bent it in thirds to fit it all in the picture. Today I pulled one up. The bulb is huge. I put a quarter next to it so you can measure how big it is but that isn't why I love it. It is unusual because it is one big whole clove! No peeling individual cloves...it is solid garlic.

The best part is hanging off of the clove you'll see a tiny seedling to stick back in the garden to become a huge clove next year. Isn't nature marvelous.
