What is This?

It is a dead one of these.

Sorry about that.
More accurately it is a monster called a carrETot  :- 
1a.  Carrot-eating alien monster (8).

I made the dead one my main blip so as not to be so scary.

The photograph started as carrot peelings and a slice of carrot placed on a sheet of A4 paper.
The monster was generated by making a black outline of the carrot image. That was then distorted using the polar-coordinates filter in reverse mode (ie From polar).

This is my entry for Ingeborg's Abstract Thursday Challenge, AT525, on the theme of 'Shapes'.
