Jane
At the beginning of June I took a Kintsugi class with Jo.
Jane had given me a broken vase that meant a lot to her, and over the last weeks I've repaired it the Kintsugi way. Today I was able to give it back, repaired to the best of my ability.
Kintsugi is rooted in the Japanese philosophies of wabi-sabi, which finds beauty in imperfection and simplicity, and sabi, which appreciates the value of something aged or weathered. It encourages us to embrace flaws and accept that things change and are sometimes broken.
