Murals

I crossed the Pennines this afternoon, heading for South Yorkshire.

A stroll around the village of Elsecar. Established as a model industrial village by Earl Fitzwilliam on part of his extensive Wentworth Woodhouse estate in the late 18th century and expanded through the 19th into the 20th century by his successors until the coal mines were nationalised in 1947. A fascinating history.
