Posy

I was up early to finish off my work, do some washing and tidying up, and pack my bag. When I had finished my work, TT announced that we couldn’t leave early as ge also had work to do.

I hung out my first load of washing, and also another three loads over the day. It was very hot, so no run today. It was do hit I hardly spent any time outside. Even BB was up relatively early today, the heat must have got to him!!

Later in the morning I took him for a supermarket shop, and we also picked up some lunch from the Italian cafe van.  Surprisingly BB knew what he wanted for his meals for the week ahead!  

After lunch I finished packing, then ventured out in the heat got some steps, as it was my only opportunity. It was VERY hot.

When I got back TT was almost ready to go. We eventually set off late in the afternoon, driving down the A1.

We had a pretty good drive, albeit was still very hot. We stopped off for a snack and petrol, but kept going to Buxton. We looked for a fish and chip shop, but failed to find one, so picked up some food from a supermarket. We continued our journey, and reached our lovely holiday cottage as it was getting dark. We heard an owl when we got out of the car.

We had a very late tea. I wasn’t sure how hungry I was, but it turns out I was quite hungry. We’re looking forward to doing some exploring tomorrow.

These lovely flowers from the garden were in a jug in the cottage. A lovely welcome, along with a cake and a bottle of wine.
