Sundial 15 Dalkeith

The shape of the tower roof is unusual but I was interested in the large sundial on this house. Possibly the sign WB 1745  shows when the house was originally built  and when alterations were done in 1853 the sundial was moved onto the tower.  Above it there’s also a handshake fire insurance symbol 2466.
