A different day

We had planned to take advantage of the nice weather. A walk and then lunch at Backbarrow but M's front tooth was in danger of falling out (.a crown that had been temporarily glued in 3 years ago and at the time he was told.it may only last a few months)
So another early morning as he wanted to phone the dentist as soon as it opened at 8. He started dialling before 8 , got through at 8:02 and was told the Emergency appointment had just been filled ! Already?? She did say she'd phone if there was a cancellation and luckily half an hour she phoned back.
So up to Ulverston ,dropped M at the dentist and I took Robbie for a walk up The Gill
They managed to glue in his tooth to stop the wobble but he will need a root canal.
He's had one before so he knows what that entails. 2 long sessions.
I don't envy him.
But he felt quite up beat and suggested we go for a coffee at Gillams.
I didn't expect to get a table but there was one upstairs or outside in " the garden"
It's not really a garden just 2 small terraces up very steep flight of steps. The terraces are roof height and  big enough for 3 tables.  It was very pleasant there as it was warm but cloudy so.no hot sun.
After 2 weeks of being really really strict with myself I decided we both needed a treat and we had a Mocha and coffee cake. Yummy

We then went for a stroll . It's a delight to wander in Ulverston.. lots of little shops and the place is bustling. We had a wander round Squirrels and I bought some socks with westies on (.well I had to )
I then went in to the health food shop to get some flaxseed powder which is supposedly good for the heart.
Adding that to the modified diet, beetroot juice, cholesterol lowering yoghurt and avoiding anything with salt (.that's harder than you think) ,I really hope my BP is getting back to normal.
