Calm evening

It was hot today. In the summer the sun is closer to us in Canada than in Florida when it's straight overhead because we are 1400 miles further north. No AC here, just a whole house fan. So sitting down on the Limestone rocks at the edge of the river, putting our feet in, enjoying the sunset and cool water is a great idea! 

Photo courtesy of my husband Steve. We had a quiet day here after our guests, Alfred and Bec left this morning. They were so grateful for the time they spent here on their East Coast tour, they insisted on cooking for us! What a treat. They have different careers now, but started out working as Cook, then Chef and Manager of a restaurant. Steve and I felt like we were eating in a restaurant and they were enamored by the island and especially loved our view of the river. 

I am so thankful for the our time here!
