Wildlife

After breakfast we headed to Sutton with Alton from Albania in his Uber car as we had arranged to have coffee at Under Pressure with Julia and kids and Deb.  Dan was also invited but was still sleeping apparently, still trying to get over jet lag and very poor sleeping the first couple of days when he arrived - his friend in Horsham has 2 little boys who decided it was fun to bounce on Dan at 5 am in the morning.

Anyway very good to see the nieces and enjoy both E and S before heading over to catch up with Dan, who had finally arisen.  Then it was back to the campsite where L had a rest before we went on our planned walk around Middleton lakes.  I captured 14 different species of bird on my Merlin app and did photograph swans and coots, but couldn't resist posting my dragonfly and snail, see extra.  The other extra is of some wildlife I observed in Sutton!

We had a simple dinner, just heated up some pies with veg.  They don't have pies in the US, except what they call a pie is actually a pizza, and I had a penchant for a steak and kidney pie before we go back.  

Watched an intense second episode of The Last of Us before getting blip done and settling in for our last night here before we head off back to Darlington via Heanor, where L is wanting to get A H's information on some photos she found up at LV's
