We leave at 5.30 a.m., encounter relatively little traffic on the German motorways and, due to the rain, drive without any longer stops via Kassel and Würzburg to Schillingsfürst, 1.5 hours before Ulm. There we walk around the cornfields for an hour and continue our journey.

We decide to skip the overnight stay in Ulm and drive straight home to Samedan. Kara eats and sleeps. The perfect travel companion.

After almost 1,000 km and 13 hours of travel time today (11 of which were driving), we arrived at home safe, tired but also satisfied at 6:30 p.m.

Everyone is tired and happy to be home after so many weeks.

Kara was almost “dancing” during the evening walk.
