Train Fares

An extract from a British Railways passenger fares book for Edinburgh Princes St. & Waverley stations from 1957 which had been recently acquired by one of the volunteers.
The entries give the distance in miles & chains, and the fares for a first class and second class single priced in shillings & pence. A return was the price of two singles.
A 2nd class single to Troon was 13s in 1957, today it is £25.20.
