UNEXPECTED BLIPMEET
Our friend, Heidi, messaged a couple of days ago to see if we were around and if we were, could she come and visit - we had to juggle a few things, but were glad that we were able to fit her into our busy schedule! As I explained to her, when you are retired, you are busier than when you were working!
She came for lunch and then, as always, wanted to look around the garden. Our first selfie is in front of our lovely Clematis “Blue Angel” and the second one is in front of the Hollyhocks, Leucanthemum and our garden sculpture. We were pulling funny faces for the second one - did you guess? There were even funnier ones, but didn’t want to frighten anyone! It even looks as if Mr. HCB has a flower in his hat!
It was quite a “flying” visit, quite appropriate if you know Heidi’s job - and after that we had to pop into town to renew our house and car insurances - phew, that was rather a hefty bill with two of them to be renewed in the same month! Then we popped into the library, and Mr. HCB managed to find 4 books - I’m well into “The Seven Sisters” series and a friend I’m meeting tomorrow is going to let me borrow the whole series, so no library books for me and still not much housework is being done!
I’m going out for Worship Group practice tonight and will pick up four Bags of Hope to be delivered on Friday - it can’t be done tomorrow as Mr. HCB is going to Cheltenham to watch a 20/20 cricket match with our older son. I did say how busy we are!
At least it is somewhat cooler today with a breeze, which is a real blessing. M xx
