W-I-D-E on Wednesday: Narrow!
These Kittiwakes make their nests on a very narrow ledge, high up near the top of the old Baltic Flour Mills (now an art gallery) here on the Gateshead Quayside. Somehow they seem to manage to keep their chicks safe until they can fly! As we were in that neck of the woods anyway I thought this image would suit Bobsblips's Widwed challenge of "narrow". (I had several other blip options of narrow alleyways but thought this was a bit different.)
As the chicks are rather cute I've posted a close-up of a couple of them as an extra.
(The Kittiwakes also nest on other ledges in the vicinity - they're famous as the furthest inland breeding colony in the world, being a few miles upstream from the sea.)
