CABBAGE WHITE

What a difference in the weather again today.  It's a pleasantly warm 21C at the moment.

Hubby and I went into Barrow this morning as I needed to get my phone sorted with EE as I am paying way too much tariff.  We parkd up at Tescoe Extra and walked on up into the town.  There were quite a few people around in places but not how it used to be a really lovely thriving town.  Aah well that's it everywhere right now.

We then went into Halfords to enquire about a dashcam and the prices seem quite good and they can fit it all so we are going to book a slot and get it done - there's so much awfulness on the roads that I just want there to be something just in case.

On the way home we stopped off at Charnleys for lunch.  Charnleys is a furniture store with a garden centre and a cafe.  The cafe isn't quite what it used to be for me, coffee and cake are still good but the rest of the menu is just not really for me.  Hubby had the special, which was quite nice but too spicey for me.  I just thought I'd  have a jacket potato, but it was badly burned and cheese with it was a sort of cheese blend, a bit like egg mayo but with cheese and not as nice.  So not great.  I would have like a plain cheese sandwich but they don't do that!!!!  AAh well never mind doesn't really matter.

We're now home for the afternoon.  I popped into the garden and our buddleia, very small but it has now produced a few blooms and this cabbage white was enjoying its nectar.  Not an exotic butterfly but the only ones we've seen up here, which is a great shame. Still time for me to see more if I can.

That's all from me for now, do take care and stay safe and I will see you all tomorrow.
